Bree and Ryan!

On May 19th, I had the pleasure of photographing Bree and Ryan's wedding in Poland, Maine. They chose a beautiful venue and I also lucked out with one of the best looking bridal parties I have ever seen! Just makes my job that much easier. Here are some of the best shots from the day:

The groomsmen.

A quick few shots with Bree before the big moment.

And The Kiss.

And finally a quiet moment alone.

Baby L

Are you ready for cuteness overload? I sure hope so... because here are some of the best from my shoot of baby L and her proud parents. I have never met a baby who smiles this much. She made my job almost too easy!

(Remember you can click the images to see them in a slideshow)

Pretty in pink

come on I know you're grinning...

And a quiet moment with Mum.

Admit it, your day just got a little better. You're welcome.

Hope

Hey guys! I am really excited about this post. I have really been wanting to do more 'fashion-y' shoots to build up my portfolio. A friend of mine from work agreed to model for me and we finally managed to put a time and concept together. I'm really pleased with how the images came out. So here they are! Hope you like them too :)

I love the warm light in all of these.

Maybe my favorite...

Just reppin a little L.L. Bean.

Girl in the Fog

No, it's not the title to a mystery novel. It's my (oh so willing of a model) sister putting up with my photography whims again. But you have to admit, she's pretty good at the whole modeling thing. And boy can she work an umbrella! The other night we were driving home and it was particularly foggy out. Perfect conditions for silhouette photography. We ran home, grabbed an umbrella and headed up to the top of a very steep hill close by. The light set up is as basic as it gets: car headlights. I'm really happy with the results, but am itching for another foggy night so I could tweak a few things. It's all about trial and error, right?

Here are the best shots:

Snow!

Happy New Year!/Happy February! This winter has been pretty easy on us New Englanders with just an occasional flurry or light blizzard. Personally, I like the snow - just not the freezing to death part. For a long time I have been trying to get a good macro shot of a snowflake and this morning I finally did. Here are a few feel good winter photos.

And here is my favorite!

Seattle - two

See?! I told you there would be a part two.
The city is so cool. I completely fell in love with it. We walked from the downtown shopping area to the Space Needle and the area around that. There are quite a few music and cultural fairs that take place there every year.

This is part of the science fiction museum building. Really cool looking.

Right near the Space Needle, there was this great park with this fountain in the middle. We sat and watched the kids play (and wipe out) in it for a long time. The fountain is mesmerizing and plays to the beat of music that is playing out of speakers all around it. Definitely a cool spot.

Next stop: Space Needle!

Obviously I had to do a panorama from the top. It was quite the view.
If you have ever been to Seattle than you will have seen Mount Rainier looming in the distance. It doesn't quite look real; like a backdrop out of a fairy tale. Here is an up close shot:

While up on the SN we met a couple who told us about a lovely restaurant they came across out on Bainbridge Island. They raved about it, and I had been dying to get on a ferry boat (coughmcdreamycough) so we decided to do it! Not before getting some ice cream though!

Good drinks...

and great food!

Definitely worth the trip even if I didn't catch a glimpse of McDreamy.

Seattle

So, fire me. I'm the worst blogger in the world. It's been 3 MONTHS. It's not because I don't care about the people who actually follow this (all three of them. Hi mom.) It's because I'm busy doing a lot of nothing. Worst excuse ever. Oh well, maybe I can charm my way back into your hearts with these lovely photographs I took in Seattle back in August.

My mom and I went out to Whistler, BC to visit my friend. That is one place that should be on everyone's bucket list to visit. It is absolutely breath taking. Maybe I will put up a little post of those pics later. On the way back to Maine, we stayed in Seattle for a couple days. I know what you are thinking. Rain. But it was actually mid 90s and glorious the whole time we were there. I got a sunburn to prove it.

Top on the list of things to do was to visit the fish market. Everyone told us we would love it and we did!

Fish.

Not just fish here either. Tons and tons of beautiful fresh flowers and veggies as well.

We took a short ferry boat tour of around Eliot Bay and of course I couldn't resist a panorama!

We also hit up the aquarium. (I love aquariums).

The resident Octopus.

Looks pretty similar to the Maine coast, doesn't it?

This is part one. Yes there will be part two. No, really. There will be.
