Seattle

So, fire me. I'm the worst blogger in the world. It's been 3 MONTHS. It's not because I don't care about the people who actually follow this (all three of them. Hi mom.) It's because I'm busy doing a lot of nothing. Worst excuse ever. Oh well, maybe I can charm my way back into your hearts with these lovely photographs I took in Seattle back in August.

My mom and I went out to Whistler, BC to visit my friend. That is one place that should be on everyone's bucket list to visit. It is absolutely breath taking. Maybe I will put up a little post of those pics later. On the way back to Maine, we stayed in Seattle for a couple days. I know what you are thinking. Rain. But it was actually mid 90s and glorious the whole time we were there. I got a sunburn to prove it.

Top on the list of things to do was to visit the fish market. Everyone told us we would love it and we did!

Fish.

Not just fish here either. Tons and tons of beautiful fresh flowers and veggies as well.

We took a short ferry boat tour of around Eliot Bay and of course I couldn't resist a panorama!

We also hit up the aquarium. (I love aquariums).

The resident Octopus.

Looks pretty similar to the Maine coast, doesn't it?

This is part one. Yes there will be part two. No, really. There will be.

Amber and Tommie's Wedding in the Rose Garden

Hello all! At the very end of July, I shot a wedding down near Portsmouth, NH for Amber and Tommie. The small wedding took place in a gorgeous, intimate rose garden very close to the ocean. The day was a bit warm, but absolutely stunning overall. I really had a blast taking pictures with Amber and the rest of her bridal party before the wedding. Here are some of the results:

Amber - what a beautiful bride.

I love fun props!

The happy couple and all thier guests!

And of course the ring picture. This might be my new favorite!

Well I hope you enjoyed these! Now I'm off to do some more shooting... I promise you will see the results soon.

The Rockefeller Gardens in Late July

Back in July my family stayed up in Trenton for a week at my grandparent's camp just across the bridge from Mount Desert Island. While we were up there we did tons of walking and hiking and I did a lot of picture taking. My favorite group of photos from the trip, however are the images that I took on a private tour of the Rockefeller's private gardens. (I've got connections ;) .) It is an extraordinarily beautiful place that is reminiscent of the childrens' movie The Secret Garden. Here are the best shots from that day:

Fun fact: All the tiles on the roof of this wall were imported from China.

Yes, the pine needles are actually collected and lain out on these paths.

btw- finally got the image links to work: click the images to see them larger!

One of the frog ponds.

The most beautiful moss covers the majority of the forest floor throughout the gardens.

See? Secret Garden.

It's a buddha statue at the top:

So beautiful. Hope you enjoyed! Coming soon: Amber and Tommie's wedding photos!

Family Portrait Session: The Grahams

Hello! I have been wonderfully busy lately and just realized it is time for a new blog update! (And also, I just love the images from Maura and Aaron's wedding that I wanted to leave them up a while longer.) Not that I am not excited about this post! This is a family that I have been talking to for a while about a family portrait session and a few weeks ago the stars alligned and here are the results:

I chose to shoot at the Pineland campus for a couple reasons: 1- It is very conveniently located for both myself and the family. 2- it is gorgeously manicured down to the last blade of grass.

Mom and Dad.

The kids.

This is my favorite! (and was the last shot we took too!) Hope you enjoy :)
